The Strand Theater - a place you have visited as a child to catch
a movie for 20 cents, a place of memories, an icon in Wadsworth. If
you have been down Broad Street in Wadsworth, you know the building
located at 123. There is work being done to restore the old Strand
Theater to its original 1938 vintage. Steven J. Masica and Kevin J.
Sir Louis, owners of the Strand Company, LTD., would like to preserve
this piece of history while bringing new business opportunities to
downtown Wadsworth. Their objective is to completely restore the building's
front and interior, based on information from as early as 1938 to
approximately 1970. The Strand Theater is now the home for the Ohio
BMV, and the Medina County Clerk of Courts, and MSL Realty. The Theater
in the back of the building will be used for conferences and banquets.
